projects Elma Philanthropies

I have worked with The ELMA Philanthropies on three progress reports since 2016.

Through partnerships with governments, other philanthropists and grantees, ELMA looks at accelerating the growth and impact of philanthropy.

Some of the primary growth areas of ELMA’s philanthropy are strengthening the health workforce (through supporting mothers, caregivers, and children through the critical newborn and early childhood phases) and investing in community-based organizations, who are so often the first to respond to the needs of children and families in Africa.

The majority of ELMA’s 2020 COVID-19 investments were made in the areas of;
Direct COVID-19 Response, Protecting Essential Services, Supporting Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Learning and Safety Net Support for Vulnerable Communities as they navigated the indirect impacts of COVID-19 on their livelihoods, incomes, food security and well-being.
