projects The 75th Anniversary of Nana Ofori Atta

Never been to an event feeling this Royal and colourful.
The 75th Anniversary of Nana Ofori Atta’s death which happened 23rd August, 2018 and I was blessed to witness it for a few hours, thanks to my departed friend @bobpixel. He had always showed-off beautiful images from these traditional gatherings. I still look forward to the day his whole archive in line with these ceremonies will be available for viewing to the world.

This event has been put in place as part of the efforts to celebrate the life of Nana Ofori Atta and his achievements.
The late King was one of the few educated chiefs in the then Gold Coast and was also the longest-serving African on the legislative Assembly of the Gold coast.

Nana Ofori Atta is regarded as one of the pioneers of education and development in the Abuakwa state and Ghana as a whole.
He was Omanhene of Akyem Abuakwa from 1912-1943, in which time he initiated and intervened in matters of Land tenure systems and also advocated for mineral and cocoa rights and prices.
